Pictures tell more than words, though, so I will let the photos speak for themselves. I thought I would wait until the quilt was bound, but I just couldn't stand to wait to share this quilt! (Incidentally, Rose included a way to face a quilt in her directions in the pattern I had bought; coincidentally, Judy had just watched a DVD about this method of finishing, and she was urging me to try this technique.)
Anyway, here are the photos. Click to enlarge, and I think you'll see why I am so excited and delighted with Judy's work. What a treasure she is!
Just gorgeous! Judy, as always, did an excellent job!
ReplyDeleteI can feel your excitement all the way to Boston! Thanks for posting so we could see it now rather than later.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Linda...can feel your excitement. I would be also. The quilting looks like Judy was smiling the whole time she was working on it, as it has such a "happy feel". ( Not coming out in words the way I want but hope I am making some kind of sense? ).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and very appropriate for Marie. I'm sure she will love it. I use my quilt almost every day--it lives on my favorite chair. Mac likes it too, draping himself in it when he gets up for better sleep.
ReplyDeleteAlice, this is one of your best ever! Judy did a beautiful job on your beautiful quilt. Let us know how Marie reacts. I bet she will LOVE it and be amazed at your thoughtfulness and special work for her. ss
